Grim’s Discovery was prompted by a neighbor’s concern
According to the release, Alton Bell, a concerned neighbor, called authorities on March 11. He asked them to do a welfare check on the man after he noticed more flies than usual swarming around his home.
“Yesterday, I was mowing the grass and going by the house. I was going into the back garden, and I noticed a bunch of flies that were above the normal size. “
Harris Country management arrived at the home later that evening and noticed the flies. Plus “foul smell.”
The authorities have begun another incident at the residence
The conditions prompted authorities to enter the home, but then they heard “one shot.”
Deputy Chief Thomas Gilliland explained the situation to reporters.
“When they entered the home, they heard one shot. They cleared the home and found a male body in a bedroom from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
The service said the man was in his 60s.
Authorities make a second, start, find
As authorities continued to make their way through the home, they found the body of another man in his 60s. According to the outlet, authorities believe the man had been dead “for several months.” Additionally, ABC13 reported that his body was “profoundly decomposing.” “

Bell described his reaction to the “shocking” discovery.
“We are very shocked. It’s really awesome. I mean, this guy was 20 feet from my house laying in a room. “
Another neighbor, named Linda Meadows, shared her thoughts on the news.
“If you’ve ever smelled a rat in your wall, it’s terrible. As soon as they opened the door, you could fail as soon as the wind blew it across the street. We knew something was wrong. “
Neighbors described the dead men as private people, explaining that they “usually “kept to themselves.” ABC13 explained that the relationship between them is “unclear.” However, it seems that they lived together in the home.
Additionally, Harris County Forensic Science is working to determine the cause of death of the highly decomposed body. However, the identities of the two men have not yet been released to the public.
