Ahsoka Trailer Puts Rosario Dawson at Star Wars Galaxy Center – The Hollywood Reporter
Ahsoka Tano is finally getting the live-action spotlight, with the first trailer for Achsoka discussing at Star wars celebrating event in London on Friday.
Rosario Dawson, who plays the title character (who she previously played in episodes of The Mandalorian and The Boba Fett book) on stage to help introduce the poster, the August 2023 release date and the first film from the series. Meanwhile, co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead reprized her previous role as revolutionary leader Hera Syndulla.
“Something is coming, something dark, I can feel it,” Ahsoko says in the trailer, which features several spaceship battles, lots of light action and – of course – a thin robot. The film drew gasps and cheers with Ray Stevenson as a Sith slashing rebels with a red sword and using the Force to strangle one.
Speaking on stage, Dawson said, “I’ve had so many moments, even on the last day of shooting, when we turn on the lights and I’m in the world of Star Wars, “he said,” I’m ready. and ready, because if this does well we’re going to get a second season.”
Along with Dawn and Winstead, the series stars Ivanna Sakhno, Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Eman Esfandi as fan favorite animated character Ezra Bridger. Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker, with Ray Stevenson on the phone page as a speaker.
Achsoka she came from the world of animation, where she started Rebels star wars and was voiced by Ashley Eckstein. Dave Filoni, one of the main architects of the Disney + Star Wars slate, is the creator of the character and the driving force behind it Achsoka as a writer is an executive producer. Filoni’s Star wars Partner Jon Favreau is also executive producing the series. Oscar-winning co-director Peter Ramsey Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, among the directors on season one of the series.
