Beleaguered FDIC chief takes responsibility for toxic workplace culture
Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairman Martin Gruenberg he took responsibility and apologized for the agency’s workplace culture in a video to employees on Friday, while indicating that he does not plan to bow to pressure from Republican senators to resign.
“As chairman, I am ultimately responsible for the actions of our organization, both good and bad,” Gruenberg said in his second video message to employees this week. “I am responsible for setting the tone of our culture.”
