Bigfoot The Wild Man Horror Movie
A full free movie of the day is posted on the JoBlo Horror Movies YouTube channel every day of the week – but on Fridays things get even freakier and a little more fun. Start your weekend off right by taking part Scary Friday nights! Every Friday, we take a look at a different genre film that you can watch in full, for free, either on the YouTube channel linked above or in the video embedded here.
The Friday Fright Night feature we have for you this week is an example of the kind of movie we need more of. This is the movie where Bigfoot was found The Wild Man! No, I’m definitely not saying we need more found footage movies. I’m not a fan of the found footage style in general, so I appreciated that The Wild Man sometimes he breaks the rules of found footage when it’s convenient to show things that need to be shown on screen. What I’m saying is we need more Bigfoot horror movies. Bigfoot is a terrifying creature that maims and tears people apart on screen, but we still don’t get enough Bigfoot horror movies. Unfortunately, among the ones we have received, there have been very few good ones. (If you need a recommendation for a good one, I’ll point you to Ryan Schifrin’s 2006 film abominable.)
The Wild Man It’s a fun one, with what would have been the pinnacle of most found-footage horror films coming almost exactly midway through its run time, letting the story spin in a direction I didn’t predict. Bigfoot’s clothes aren’t likely to hold up if you get to look at them for a long time, though The Wild Man still manages to pack a good amount of Bigfoot action into the second half, usually either keeping the creature hidden or just showing it very quickly. And the Bigfoot collects a decent body along the way.
Directed by Ryan Justice from a screenplay by Sean Michael Gloria and Ian Longen, The Wild Man it has the following summary: Young women have been going missing in Ochopee, FL, with no suspects in custody. A young journalist, Sara, convinces her team to join her investigation as she travels to Ochopee to document her findings, but they soon realize that their presence is not welcome in the town. this. Sara convinces her friends to stick with her, because they are onto something big. When she meets Dale, the town’s most famous conspiracy theorist, she’s convinced he knows more than he’s willing to share. The team make fun of Dale’s ridiculous theories, even going with him to the Florida swamps as he tries to show them ‘The Wild Man’, hoping that he will somehow reveal his guilt. But what the team discovers is a much deeper mystery than fairy tales and legends. What they discover is much darker and more sinister than they expected.
The film stars Lauren Crandall, Julian Green, newcomer Mike Reed, David E. McMahon, Sean Michael Gloria, Eric Henderson, Nicholas Denmon, Tom Parnell, Wade Hunt Williams, Tom Elgin, Jorge Diaz, Arielle Fray, Nishant Gogna, Gustavo Perez, and Mikee Plastik, with popular character actor Michael Paré, whose credits stretch back to the 1980s classics Eddie and the Cruisers and Streets of firealso shows up to challenge the Bigfoot.
Ryan Justice previously directed several short films, as well as the 2017 thriller Followers. After watching The Wild ManI am anxiously waiting to hear what he is going to do next.
