Black Adam’s post-mortem reveals that Ezra Miller’s Flash could continue in the new DC Universe

An explosive new report from Variety that explores how Adam black star Dwayne Johnson may have made an unsuccessful bid for an important role in the DCEU some surprising details. One of the most surprising is that of Ezra Miller The Flash there may still be a future in DC run by James Gunn and Peter Safran once the troubled actor’s movie comes out this summer. Many assumed that the studios would cut ties with the infamous star. However, the Variety report notes that Miller has been behaving well since starting mental health treatment this summer.

According to various rumors, The Flash is one of the best pilot films in DC history, so the studio could be doubling down on what could be a valuable new franchise. The report also claims that Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Zachary Levi’s Shazam could have a future at DC, though one has to imagine that it all depends on how well and the upcoming movies. Shazam: Fury of the Gods coming out March 17thwhile Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom coming out December 25, 2023.

Of course, if any of the films were to underperform, one imagines that the new DC bosses will reset. Indeed, the report suggests so Adam black it ultimately underperformed at the box office relative to its budget. For his part, Henry Cavill’s Superman appears to be collateral damage, with the report noting that the decision to move forward without Cavill was made way back in 2018 before he was brought on back in the fold with Johnson, whose ex-wife, Dany Garcia, is Cavill’s former manager and adviser.

Ultimately, the power shift behind the scenes at DC has had a major impact on many films in development, with the infamous shelves of Stick girl to be worst. It will be interesting to see how the four DC movies set to hit theaters this year fare or fail (including The blue beetle) will affect Gunn and Safran’s future plans.
