In his response, the cleric explained:
“Deborah did not die in vain. First talking about Deborah’s death is like saying you are a Christian and then you die in the line of duty. No Christian who dies witnessing to Christ can die in vain. So, Deborah is a matur like Leah Sharibou. There are many other young people who have died. It is their fate, we are running a glorious race.”
Kuka also added that anyone who wants justice should put on the shoes of a long-distance runner. However, he lamented the injustice in the country. He told how the young man who killed Deborah showed the matches used on TV and how they all rose up to protest the incident to get justice.
He said Nigeria is the only country where someone will kill another in the name of religion which the people including the federal government do not care about.
