Anyway, that is Jonathan Baileythe trust. After all, the next installment of Netflix’s historical romantic drama series follows the love story of his character, Anthony Bridgerton’s brother Colin (Luke Newton) and his longtime friend Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), aka gossip writer Lady Whistledown.
“It’s going to be awesome,” the actor told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at the GQ Men of the Year event on November 16. “It’s going to be good. And also, my brother Luke Newton is taking the heat with Nicola. So it’s going to be good.”
He’s not the only one who thinks so, either. Back in October 2022, Simon Ashley– who Kate Sharma fell for Anthony’s Bailey in season two – promised that next season will be “super steamy”.
“I’m very happy when I’m reading the scripts,” she told E! News at the time. “When I get them, I have a big smile on my face.”
