Brittany Renner Reflects on Criticism She Received While Speaking to Washington
During the interview, Thembi questioned Renner about the criticism she received in her previous relationship with NBA player PJ Washington. At the time Renner was 26 years old and Washington was 18.
In addition, many people saw him as “trying to come up.”
I’ve always wanted a relationship, I’ve always been a one-man woman. I think a lot of that statement is from when he tweeted, “You were doing it all the time.” And he never came to my aid. So who are you going to believe? Is it me or him? And I did nothing but play this narrative that people think – he knows that. But why would he come to my aid if he is disappointed with me?
The 31-year-old explained that, unfortunately, she had to accept the world’s criticism. But she says she doesn’t understand why people still have the same opinion about her today.
I don’t know why even people yet think about the way they are doing about that situation. I love my child’s father to death. me do not wants to be with him. And our son was planned. I thought that was my one. I guess I’m stupid for thinking about someone who’s only six years younger than me – let’s not even get into the age gap… That’s how it turned out – obviously not that’s true.
Renner went on to repeat that if she wanted to financially “earn income” from anyone, she could have done so but she never did.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Brittany Renner was accused of “grooming” PJ Washington during their relationship. She was even accused of “catching” the professional basketball player when she became pregnant with their son.
However, Renner has always denied the allegations. In an exclusive interview with DJ Akademiks, she explained that she was on birth control while going back to Washington and that he really wanted her to have his child.

She told Akademiks, recalling a conversation she had with Washington about having a child. Then she surprised the world by not criticizing other famous couples such as Jay-Z and Beyoncé for their age gap.
