Chelsea continued their impressive run after a thrilling Premier League match against Tottenham. The Blues failed to secure a win in the second half after Tottenham’s late goal canceled out Chelsea’s lead.
It was an interesting first half as Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring for Chelsea. In the second half, Pierre Hojbjerg’s strike canceled out Koulibaly’s goal. Another goal from Reece James and Harry Kane gave the London brothers the points.
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea could easily have won the match if the head coach had avoided these two mistakes in the starting line-up.
1. Starting Jorghihno ahead of Gallagher:
Starting the Italian today was a big mistake for Thomas Tuchel as Jorginho lost possession most of the time today. Jorginho is always a terror in midfield when playing a big team and the coach could have benched him for Gallagher.
Gallagher has proven much better than Jorginho when he was on loan at Crystal Palace. His shooting skills are very good compared to Jorginho. Jorginho’s mistake in the box led to Tottenham’s equaliser.
2. Benching Broza for Kai Havertz.
Another mistake was benching Broza for Kai Havertz. Havertz was superb in today’s game and starting him for Broza was the worst mistake a Chelsea manager could ever make.
Kai Havertz isn’t a striker and he doesn’t play like one, playing him in today’s game cost the head coach a win.
