‘Chicken Run’ returns with ‘Dawn of the Nugget’ trailer
They are the highest grossing stop-motion animated films in the history of cinema Chicken ran, the 2000 stop-motion animated film from Peter Lord and Nick Park and Aardman Animation. So it was only a matter of time before someone tried to make a sequel. Now, granted, it was an issue A lot time in this case, but 23 years later, here it is Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
This sequel will go straight to Netflix instead of theaters, and features new voices in several of the story’s key roles. Rocky, the chicken that Mel Gibson was talking about before, is now portrayed by Zachary Levi, and Thandiwe Newton has been replaced by Ginger, who was previously played by Julia Sawalha. (Sawalha said she was told by the filmmakers that she was “too old” to reprise her role, and was never even given the opportunity to re-audition for her old part.) did returns for this sequel include Imelda Staunton, Lynn Ferguson, and Miranda Richardson.

Here’s the sequel’s official synopsis:
Having escaped from Tweedy’s farm with death in tow, Ginger has finally found her dream – a peaceful island haven for the entire flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky give birth to a baby girl named Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland the whole chicken species is facing a new and dire threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means risking their own freedom – this time, they’re breaking in!
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget premieres on Netflix on December 15.
