Ciara says she turns off the haters by being “confident” in herself
At one point during the set, the artist — whose debut album, “Goodies,” is approaching its 20-year mark — spent some time explaining the difference between her feelings “Ciara” and “CiCi”.
After noticing that CiCi is more likely to “want the smoke,” she spent some time identifying and Russell Wilsonand a clapback game, which Thembi called “subtle” but biting.

As for how she handled the backlash, Ciara noted that all she had to do was believe in her “vision” and take comfort in knowing she had Russell’s support.
“In those times, you have to be confident in your vision. Like me, I had a creative vision in mind, and there is nothing better in any aspect of my life than when your love supports you and what your vision is.”
