Eminem’s manager feared the rapper might have brain damage

Eminem recently sat down with his manager Paul Rosenberg for an episode of his Paul Pod podcast that was released on Thursday, September 8.

During the interview, the rap star spoke candidly about his battle with addiction that nearly damaged his brain.

‘It took a long time for my brain to work again,’ he said.

Furthermore, Rosenberg mentioned how he worried that Eminem would not survive his overdose in 2007.

He claimed, ‘I mean, you literally overdosed and they wanted to stabilize you with some drugs. And some of them took a minute to adjust to you – let’s leave it at that.’

Rosenberg then asked, ‘So you’re learning to rap again, almost literally, right? Because this is the first time you’ve been creating without substance in your body in all these years, right?’

Plus, Slim Shady said Rosenberg was worried the rapper might have brain damage.

He recalled, ‘Didn’t you ask the doctor – when I started rapping again and sent it to you – you didn’t say, “I just want to make sure he doesn’t get brain damage.”‘

‘I thought you might have some permanent problems,’ Rosenberg replied. Yes, I was definitely worried.’

He added, ‘I’m so glad you’re not brain damaged… permanently disabled from rapping again.’

Eminem talks about his recovery after his 2007 overdose

Eminem was hospitalized in December 2007 after accidentally overdosing on methadone. At that time, he was addicted to medication.

Nevertheless, opioids are now being used to treat extreme pain sufferers.

According to WebMD, the substance is being used as a treatment for people addicted to heroin or narcotic painkillers.

Meanwhile, Eminem recalled how he miraculously survived a fatal overdose during a recent interview with Paul Rosenberg.

‘I was taking 75-80 Valiums a night,’ the Real Slim Shady singer revealed.

Additionally, he explained, ‘I remember when I first got sober and everything was out of my system, I remember being really happy. Everything felt new to me again.’
