Gabriel Bonfim joins his brother in the win column with a 49-second submission
RIO DE JANEIRO – Gabriel Bonfim made it a big night for his family when he joined his brother Ismael Bonfim in the UFC 283 winner’s circle courtesy of a quick submission win.
After his older brother delivered a Knockout of the Year contender earlier in the night at Jeunesse Arena, Bonfim (14-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) put on a show of his own against Mounir Lazzez (11-3 MMA , 2-2). UFC) in their welterweight division.
Bonfim jumped on a guillotine choke on his upcoming opponent and made Lazzez tap out just 49 seconds into the bout, keeping his undefeated record intact.

With the win, Bonfim was riding high after impressing on his debut. He said that this is just a few of the things to come from his family name, and he predicts that he and his brother will both hold UFC gold in the end.
