When he thinks everything is back to normal, a witness appears and threatens him. Another murder in the same area catches the attention of Detective Jang Nan-Gam. Due to lack of evidence, the police are not finding the real culprit. However, Nan-Gam believes that Tang is the murderer. On the other hand, Woo-Shik’s character realizes that he has a special power to identify bad people and continues to kill them.
Paradox Killer ending & final spoilers: Did Son Suk-Ku punish Choi Woo-Shik for the murders?
In A Killer Paradox, Choi Woo-Shik’s Lee Tang leaves his family and friends behind and joins forces with Roh-Bin (Kim Yo-Han). Roh-Bin helps Lee Tang become a vigilante and cover up his murder. Meanwhile, Son Suk-Ku’s Nan-Gam tries different ways to catch Tang.
To make matters worse for both parties, former detective Song Chon (Lee Hee-Joon) returns to his old ways. He was one of Roh-Bin’s guards who started killing innocent people in the name of justice. Chon meets Tang and understands why Roh-Bin chose the young man over him.
At the end of the season, Nan-Gam and his spouse set a trap for Con. Roh-Bin decides to flee the country with Tang to save her but eventually realizes that he should be the one to finish Chon’s story. He meets with Nan-Gam and explains everything, including that Tang only kills criminals. At first the detective does not accept his explanation, but things change when Chon murders Nan-Gam’s sick father.
On the other hand, Tang is waiting for Roh-Bin at a port to escape from the place. He then realizes that he is not coming and he intends to sacrifice himself for him. Tang searches for his friend at an abandoned factory, where he finds Roh-Bin, Chon, and Nan-Gam. A fight breaks out, and Chon shoots Roh-Bin. Encouraged, Nan-Gam is about to shoot Chon when the latter reveals that the detective’s father was a corrupt official and that Chon put him into a coma.
Finally, he kills Chon and points his gun at Tang. Woo-Shik’s character tells him to end his misery, but he lets Tang go. He says that if Tang continues to kill people, one day, he will be caught.
Netflix’s Paradox Killer: Will There Be a Season 2?
After Nan-Gam decided not to punish Tang, the latter fled to Thailand. The investigators found no evidence against Tang as the factory caught fire with the bodies of Chon and Roh-Bin. It is later revealed that Roh-Bin destroyed all the evidence against Tang before his death.
The detectives question Nan-Gam about Tang’s involvement in the serial killing cases. The detective gives the young man a second chance and denies the detectives’ suspicions. As a result, Roh-Bin is believed to be the mastermind behind all the mayhem, and Tang’s case file is closed as “non-retaliation.”
The ending of Killer Paradox wasn’t all that exciting. Nan-Gam heard a news report stating that a man had been found dead, his DNA linking him to several murders. The detective realizes that Tang has returned to South Korea. He once again embarks on his sensational mission, which ends with him on the street when his powers are activated. Is it a sad or happy ending? Whether they see Woo-Shik’s character as a pious hero or an unpunished sinner is the viewer’s call.
Killer Paradox Season 2 is possible, as the first installment ends with an open ending. However, Netflix has not made any official announcement yet. Watch all eight episodes of the K-drama on the streaming service.
