Jason Mraz shines on being part of the LGBTQ+ community.
The “Lucky” singer explained the road to coming out as bisexual in 2018.
“I had to play out a lot of other situations before I got here,” Jason said in an interview with GLADD published on November 13. divorce, you know? And that is very hard. You have a lot of shame and guilt.”
But these days, the musician is coming to terms with who he is as he heals from his past.
“You want to heal so many past relationships and, at the same time, step into this new acceptance and this new identity or whatever I’m advocating ,” Jason said, “and that’s hard too.”
More importantly, the 46-year-old is happy to be recognized for his work, as he has done it Out magazine’s Out100 list this year – which features the most influential LGBTQ+ people.
Jason noted of his achievement: “It’s nice to be recognised.”
