What to know

The Orlando Magic haven’t won a game against the Sacramento Kings since February 12, 2021, but they look to end the drought on Monday. The Magic’s road trip continues as they head to Golden Center 1 at 10pm ET to face Sacramento. Orlando is not expected to win, but seeing as those odds didn’t stop them in the last game, the team might be in for another upset.

The Golden State Warriors usually have all the answers at home, but this past Saturday Orlando was too tough a challenge. Orlando took a comfortable 115-101 victory. They got their victory behind several key players, and it was point guard Markelle Fultz who led the way with 16 points and seven assists along with six steals and five boards.

Meanwhile, it was all tied 73-73 at halftime, but Sacramento was no match for the Los Angeles Lakers in the second half when they met this past Saturday. It was a tough game, but the Kings had to settle for a 136-134 loss against the Lakers. Sacramento didn’t live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the 7.5-point advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game. Despite the loss, they got a great performance from point guard De’Aaron Fox, who had 34 points and nine assists.

Orlando’s win lifted them to 15-25 while Sacramento’s loss dropped them to 20-18. Allowing an average of 117.26 points per game, Sacramento hasn’t exactly said that on the defensive end. Let’s see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their next game.
