Hugh Jackman Suggests Another ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Title

I don’t think Hugh Jackman enjoys playing second fiddle to Deadpool. Yes you?

Okay actually, it seems like Jackman is getting a kick out of playing up his frenemy relationship with Ryan Reynolds as part of their marketing of the now official title. Deadpool sequel, Deadpool and Wolverine. And soon after it was published as Deadpool 3Its official title, Jackman suggested another name for the film on his various social media channels.

I think if I wrote it out, I’d be in trouble, so I’ll let it speak for itself…

Jackman also had some fun with the film’s first official poster.

“‘Best’ is a stretch,” he wrote. “So are your friends.”

Jackman’s tweets were part of the first marketing blitz for the highly anticipated sequel, which is both the first time that Deadpool, Wolverine, and any of the other X-Men have joined the -official to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and also the only An MCU movie is being released to theaters on 2024.

Jackman officially retired as Wolverine after 2017 Logan, which told the final story of an older version of the character. But hey, what’s retirement when you could make a megaton of money by not being retired?

Marvel has yet to explain how Jackman’s character lives again – although the Super Bowl is looming for Deadpool and Wolverine confirming that the TVA from Loki involved in the plot of the film. In Loki, the group is responsible for protecting the flow of time and cutting “variations”; alternate versions of famous Marvel characters. So it seems very possible that Jackman is playing a variant of the character from a timeline where he didn’t die (or just hasn’t died yet).

Deadpool and Wolverine (or Wolverine & A – hole) is scheduled to open in theaters on July 26.
