Iman Vellani is not worried about ‘The Marvels’ Poor Box Office
Iman Vellani is not concerned The Marvels bombed at the box office.
The 21-year-old star is appearing in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel but believes the picture’s disastrous financial results are a problem for Disney boss Bob Iger to deal with.
Iman told Yahoo!: “I don’t want to focus on something that’s not even under my control, because what’s the point? That’s for Bob Iger.”
The star explained that she was happy to make a film with the likes of Nia DaCosta and Brie Larson and that she refuses to worry about outside issues.

Vellani said: “[The box office] none of my business. I’m happy with the finished product, and the people I’m interested in liked the film.”
She said:
Watching this movie is a great time, and that’s all we can ask for with these movies. It has superheroes, it takes place in space, it’s not that deep and it’s about teamwork and sisters. It’s a fun movie, and I’m just so happy to be able to share it with people.
Legendary horror author Stephen King also spoke in his defense The Marvels on social media as he lashed out at the “unpleasant” gloating about the failure of the picture. Vellani said she appreciated his support.
“It’s really cool to have Stephen King in anyone’s corner,” she said.
In response to the negativity from some about the film, Vellani explained that she was disappointed that poisonous voices are trying to spoil the happiness of fans.
“I had a lot of experiences in high school alone where I would share my excitement with someone, and then they would immediately shut me down for being excited,” she said. within the fan community too, because it feels awesome. If people are excited about something, let them be excited about it. And if you have constructive criticism, express it – but don’t never like the wet blanket on someone else’s happiness.”
