Actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge hopes that a Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny spin-off movie for her character.
The new action-adventure film starring Harrison Ford as the iconic hero arrives in theaters. In the film, Indiana is accompanied by his godmother, Helena Shaw (Waller-Bridge). Together, they race against time to retrieve the Archimedes Dial before it can land in the hands of Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen).
Rumors once leaked that Waller-Bridge would take over the franchise from Ford. “There’s no substitute for Indiana Jones,” she told Variety. “But I feel like the character herself – she felt fresh on the page, and there’s a sense of, is there a place in the world for someone like this? So I think there’s room for a female action star who’s a little bit smarter, more brutal, maybe in the future.”
There are currently no official plans to make an Indiana Jones spinoff.
