A trailer has been released for The Sacrifice Game, a supernatural horror film arriving on streaming service Shudder next month
A supernatural horror film set in the 1970s The Sacrifice Gamethe new movie from The Keeper (you can read my 8/10 review HERE) director Jenn Wexler, plans to start releasing holiday scares on the streaming service Shudder on December 8th – and with that date just a few weeks away, a trailer for the film has arrived online! You can check it out in the bed above.
Olivia Scott Welch from Fear Street three stars in the film with Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Gus Kenworthy (American Horror Story: 1984), Chloe Levine (The OA), Derek Johns (The Wolf and the Lion), Laurent Pitre (Under the banner of heaven), Madison Baines (1 UP), and newcomer Georgia Acken.
Wexler wrote the screenplay for The game of sacrifice by Sean Redlitz, preparing a story based at The Blackvale School for Girls, 1971. It’s bad enough that students Samantha and Clara can’t go home for the holidays, but things get deadly when a group of cult killers arrive on their doorstep – just in time for Christmas.
Wexler produced the film with Convoke Media’s Heather Buckley and Todd Slater, as well as Philip Kalin-Hajdu and Albert I. Melamed. Welch and Massoud are executive producers, as are Roman Kopelevich and Crystal Hill of Red Sea Media, Inc., Peter Phok, Mark Berry, and Duane Farley of AMG, Real by Fake, and Marc Coté. Co-produced by Yannick Sadler.
Representatives Kalin-Hajdu and Melamed said, “After years of working in the genre, making an original Shudder with this film is a major milestone. Wexler’s intriguing vision drew us in from the start. We’ve never seen Mena Massoud and Olivia Scott Welch in roles like this and we can’t wait to share it with the world.“

I was sold on The game of sacrifice as soon as I saw it was the new film from a director The Keeper, but after watching the trailer I’m looking forward to even more. I will definitely be watching this movie next month.
