Jerry Williamspopular Nigerian actor, appreciates and thanks everyone who supported him in the most difficult chapter of his career, as the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) lifted the ban formally.
In a statement released in June 2023, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) confirmed Williams’ indefinite suspension due to drug use.
According to a statement issued by the National President of AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas, MON, the group had been monitoring Jerry’s involvement in illegal substances since last December, until it got out of control.
Jerry was not allowed to interact with the other actors on set as a precautionary measure to ensure their safety.
In a video recently posted on his Instagram page, the actor exuded joy and happiness when he announced the exciting news that he has been suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN ).
In deep gratitude, the actor gave a heartfelt shout out to his girlfriend and rumored colleague, Destiny Etiko, the distinguished President of AGN, Emeka Rollas, his family members and friends for their unwavering support throughout his recovery journey.
The actor also extended his sincere gratitude to his fans for their prayers and kind words. He earnestly promised to make them proud as he returns to the set of the film, ready to deliver outstanding performances that will surprise them.
This comes hours after he took to Instagram Live to dispel any false claims of being in rehab or facing mental health challenges as a result of using illegal substances.
