Singer Joe John and an actress Sophie Turner confirmed the split.
Follow up days of consideration the four-year marriage was overthe couple released a joint statement on social media on Wednesday.
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to end our marriage amicably,” the statement said.
“There are many speculations as to why but, really this is a joint decision and we really hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and the children us.”
Rumors first began circulating over the weekend of the couple’s split, with reports that Jonas had hired a high-profile divorce attorney.

The next day, 34-year-old Jonas posted pictures on social media still wearing his wedding ring in what appeared to be a pointed postwhile Turner, 27, shared loving photos from backstage at a recent Jonas Brothers concert.
However reports continued that the couple were “living separate lives” for months before the couple confirmed it was over.
They started dating in 2016, after messaging each other via Instagram, with Jonas inviting the Game of Thrones actress to a bar while on tour in the UK.
“We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’ve been trying to get us in for a long time,” Turner explained in a 2019 interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK.
“We were following each other on Instagram and he sent me a direct message one fine day, out of the blue.
They got engaged in 2017, shortly after going official on Instagram, with Jonas posting a photo to his account showing Turner wearing her new engagement ring, with the caption saying “she said yes”.
The couple then had only two weddings in 2019.
First, the couple tied the knot in Las Vegas after attending the Billboard Music Awards.
They exchanged vows in front of a small group of family and friends in a ceremony led by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
News of their wedding first came to light when DJ – and wedding guest – Diplo posted a series of photos and videos from inside the venue. A representative for Turner later confirmed to the media that the couple had indeed married.

The Game of Thrones The star and singer remarried in a lavish ceremony that took place at the beautiful Château de Tourreau in the south of France, according to Helen.
Turner previewed the wedding a few days later when she posted a black and white photo of the couple from the day to Instagram.
“Mr and Mrs Jonas,” she captioned the photo.
Maise Williams, Turner’s co-star in the hit franchise, was reportedly her maid of honor, while the Jonas brothers and bandmates Nick and Kevin were also in attendance at the French soiree.
The couple have two daughters together – welcoming Willa in 2020 and another in July 2022.
The second daughter’s name has not been made public but her initials are DJ according to the divorce documents filed.
