Judge Mathis urges black actors to settle disputes privately

In a video on his Instagram page, Judge Greg Mathis got right to the point. However, he did not call anyone in particular.

“I want to appeal to our actors to stop going after each other in public like this. You are embarrassing yourself, you are embarrassing our community. I know many times you have to defend yourself about what is being said, but why can’t you do it directly?”

He said he thinks the Black community is “laughing about it” and that famous Hollywood executives are eating public beef.

“You don’t see this in other communities. That’s why I say you’re hurting yourself, and you’re hurting our community and you’re hurting the young people who are watching, and who want to learn and who need learn how to resolve disputes in a better way.”

As the minute-long clip continued, Mathis addressed what some might call his hypocrisy, with his outbursts on his courtroom television show.

“I’m no saint, I’m guilty of getting tough from time to time on my show. That’s entertainment. The guys say what you want as part of your show, but don’t go out of your way and attack each other personally, especially your families. I plead with you for that. Let’s not turn on each other, let’s turn towards each other. “

Black actors have been playing it all in 2024

As previously reported, Mo’Nique is the latest comedian to shake the table in a viral interview with Shannon Sharpe. This is the second time in the past few weeks that Shannon’s podcast, ‘Club Shay Shay’ has gone viral for its interviewee.

After DL Hughley hit back at Mo’Nique online, Mo also took to social media to clarify some of her statements regarding their contract and the alleged sexual assault of Hughley’s daughter.

“DL Uisdean, That’s your conscience talking to you, brother; I never said that,” Mo’Nique shot back. And I want to be clear about something else. I wouldn’t try to do anything to harm your babies because we got babies too. But, what I was saying to your daughter – and to the other girls out there – I know what it’s like for your father to know you’ve been touched and he won’t protect you. “

As Judge Mathis said, it is obvious that the public subjects are receiving in addition personal!

We must note, however, that Katt Williams’ innanet was on FIRE last month with his outspoken comments. And it all started, like Mo’Nique, with an interview with ‘Club Shay Shay’.

Katt’s interview kept moving as comedians like Kevin Hart, Mike Epps, Tiffany Haddish, Dave Chappelle, Marlon Wayans, and more included his experiences and opinions.

Amid the media and social uproar, Shannon Sharpe responded to criticism of Williams’ polarizing sit-down. The former athlete clarified that he was not a journalist, just a man with a mic and a platform.

“You decide – who do you agree with? Not my decision to make! I never said I was a journalist!” Sharpe said. “I never claimed to be a journalist! I am an entertainer. If you want tough questions, ’60 Minutes’ is the platform for you. ‘A date.’ ’48 Hours.’ Go to Lester Holt. Go to someone who does.”
