Buckingham Palace said in a statement that the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and Queen Consort will stay at Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow. The Kardashians were among the many people around the world who shared heartfelt words following the news of the Queen’s death at the age of 96.

Khloe Kardashian, 38, shared several tributes to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her Instagram Stories. Starting with a moving statement that marks a sad day for the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the world. Kardashian added: ‘We should all admire the Queen’s exemplary sense of duty and her duty to her relatives. Such an incredible woman and an inspiration to us all, she will forever be known as someone who led with respect, ease and dignity during her 70 years as Queen.

Khloe went on to say that the Queen was a ‘consistent presence’ in the world’s changing times and that the Queen brought a sense of comfort and harmony. She has truly graced the world and there will never be another person like her, before sending condolences to the Queen’s family and expressing deep feelings for the British people and the Commonwealth. Khloe finished her message by saying, ‘God bless the Queen and may she rest in peace.’ She is now with her Prince.

The Kardashians paid an emotional tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

Kris, Khloe and Kim also shared a post by a user showing three rainbows over popular tourist spots in England, including Balmoral. The post read, Her Majesty the Queen sent us three rainbows at the particular time of crossing that bridge. One at Balmoral, one at Windsor Castle and a double #rainbow at Buckingham Palace. She is telling us that she did it and everything will be fine. Kim Kardashian similarly shared a black and white photo of the young queen and captioned it, Rest in Peace. Kourtney Kardashian also paid tribute to the Queen by posting a photo of herself driving her car, which she captioned: Farewell, Queen.
