Lewis Pullman Eyed to Replace Steven Yeun – The Hollywood Reporter
Lewis Pullman might be getting a jolt, courtesy of Marvel Studios. The Top Gun: Maverick the actor is Marvel’s top choice to star Thunderboltsand he has an offer for the role that Steven Yeun left earlier this month.
Marvel and Pullman’s representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
Yeun was attached to him Thunderbolts in February 2023, although Marvel has not officially announced his casting. But on January 2, news broke that the Oscar-nominated actor was leaving the project based on Marvel’s villains and anti-heroes.
Thunderbolts hit with delays due to writers and actors strikes in 2023, with its release date pushed a year to July 25, 2025. The film has a cast that includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Jake Schreier is directing the feature, which has yet to begin filming.
Pullman, who is the son of actor Bill Pullman, played Lt. Robert “Bob” Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick, the $1.5 billion box office juggernaut. Other specific beliefs include Bad times at the El Royale and the TV series Outdoor area. Recently he was a star Lessons in chemistryopposite Marvel star Brie Larson, where he played her character’s love interest, chemistry researcher Calvin Evans.
