Lindsay Lohan gives birth to her first child
Lindsay Lohan is officially a mom! On July 17, the 37-year-old actor’s rep confirmed to POPSUGAR that Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a “beautiful, healthy son named Luai.” The rep added: “The family are over the moon in love.” The news comes after the actress announced her pregnancy in March and a year after Lohan announced she and Shammas had tied the knot to connect
Before her baby was born, Lohan kept the public in the loop on her pregnancy journey, posting the occasional baby selfie on Instagram. The new mom’s friends and family — including her sisters Aliana and Dakota Lohan — threw her a baby shower a month after she announced she was expecting.
Some of Lohan’s famous friends also congratulated her on her new bundle of joy ahead of the birth — including her “Freaky Friday” costar Jamie Lee Curtis, who wrote in an Instagram post in April, “My friend and movie girl @lindsaylohan is growing up! So happy for her. She won’t be a mother.”
And she wasn’t the only one excited about Lohan’s maternity leave. The actor’s mother, Dina Lohan, told People in March that she was “literally over the moon” about her grandson. “I’m so happy, I can’t stop smiling,” she said. “It’s unbelievable. We’re so excited. It’s such a beautiful thing for my child! And I love babies. Who doesn’t?”
