Lord26, recalls the release of her second album, Melodramaby sharing a sweet text message Taylor Swift, 33, was sent six years ago. The singer took to her Instagram story and showed a cut-out of the text, which can be seen below, and it seemed to include some encouraging words about the album’s outcome. “Taylor was very kind and it wasn’t wrong,” the “Royals” creator captioned the photo.

“You will always be pictured in my mind in a rowboat with Ann Lennox floating down a river of cool cerebral ethereal dreams but don’t feel around you,” read part of Taylor’s text. “And I don’t think that first week album sales particularly define a legacy. “
After the message circulated online, the singers’ fans did not hesitate to respond. “Taylorde is alive,” wrote a fan while also posting several photos of them together at various events in the past. “OMG I’m so happy today,” said another, and asked the thirdly, whether this was affecting a possible musical collaboration between the two women in the future. “Two musical powers! I enjoyed hearing about their conversation. Still a masterpiece after 6 years,” wrote another user.
Lorde’s photo comes six years after it was released Melodrama, which featured hits like “Green Light,” “Sober,” and “Perfect Places.” She joined the producer Jack Antonoff, with whom Taylor is known for working with her own music, for the release, and it was a memorable and impressive project. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 charts in its first week and won the New Zealand Music Award for Album of the Year.
Since Lorde and Taylor have been known to be good friends for years, the latest shared message is not too surprising and seems to prove that the women are still close and grateful for each other. It is not clear if they will be together for new music soon or not, but they are both busy with their careers at the moment. She’s wearing Lorde Solar Power World Tour and Taylor is on it Eras Tour.
