French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife, Brigitte Macron, has revealed her relationship concerns from the early days of dating the future French leader – including concerns that he would “fall into love with someone his age” after moving schools.
“My head was in a mess,” said Brigitte Macron in a rare interview, given to the outlet Paris Match, and reported in the Daily Telegraph. “To me, a young boy was so fragile.”
“Emanuel had to leave for Paris,” Macron said. “I told myself he would fall in love with someone [own] age It didn’t happen.”

The couple met while Brigitte was teaching drama at the Providence Catholic school in Amiens. Her daughter was Emmanuel’s classmate.
