Mama June Shannon he talked about his daughter Ann “Chickadee” Cardwell last days in an interesting interview with daily mail, released on Wednesday, January 31. The reality star, 44, shared new details about how she cared for her late daughter before she died after a battle with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma at 29. herself and her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird they talked about how they made sure Anna knew she loved her.

Mama June told the rebel that Anna had been living with her in her last days, and Anna’s daughter Kathleen it would help with care. “She died in mine and Justin’s home. Eldridge and the girls and she lived there for three weeks and one day. [I was] hearing my name at night, hearing her little oxygen cord going around,” she said. “She wouldn’t hold her oxygen for anything. The day before she died Kaitlyn was helping us donate [Anna] medicine — and she would only take it for Kaitlyn.”

The TLC alum admitted that she and Anna’s other family members kept reminding her that she was loved throughout her cancer battle. “The last things we all made sure we said in the last couple of days… I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said I love you,” she said.

Anna’s sister Lauryn talked about how hard her sister had tried to hold on, especially at the end, while she assured her that it was okay. “She fought until the end. You could tell by the end she was ready. She was made. She was fighting as much as she could so I was telling her, ‘It’s okay, everyone is here,’” she said. “It definitely happened very quickly. It went from one to five years to 10 months very quickly. “

June also said that she and the rest of the family still hold Anna in their hearts and minds today. “We talk a little about her. We all carry it with us,” she said.

Mama June announced that Anna had died after her battle with cancer in an Instagram post in December 2023. “She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 pm. She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she died with her family around her like she won’t and we will update you with more information as we get it today. We love everyone and continued prayers and thoughts for our family during this difficult time,” she said.
