Marvel delays several TV shows

There may be a “sacred timeline” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but release dates are not so sacred there.

With strikes by both writers and actors continuing with no end in sight, Marvel has pushed back a series of its upcoming Disney+ TV series. Almost all of their upcoming shows have been delayed. Echospinning anew Hawk series, and in which the vigilante character has appeared opposite Daredevil and worked with the Avengers in Marvel Comics, now debuting in January 2024. The show was expected to debut at the end of November.

The WandaVision espionage Agathameanwhile, now pushed back to fall 2024. The series has already gone through two different titles: Agatha: Harkness House and Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The series stars Kathryn Hahn, reprising her role as the scheming witch from WandaVision.

There are also changes in the Marvel animation line. X-Men ’97sequel series to popular X-Men: The Animated Series of the 1990s was originally scheduled for this fall, and will premiere in early 2024 instead. The show features many of the original voice actors from the 90’s X-Men show.

Currently, season 2 of Loki still scheduled for an October 6 premiere. And you’ll get at least one more Marvel series before the end of the year; season 2 of So what…? the first release is expected around the holiday season. The show features alternate animated interpretations of previously told Marvel stories. But things could get rough after that, especially if the strikes continue for much longer. Several MCU sequels, including the expected ones Daredevil: Born Again, still in the middle of the shooting when the strikes started. They have to restart production once they’re resolved, and then go through post-production before they’re ready for the premiere.
