Michael Dougherty has an idea for a sequel to his Christmas horror movie
Michael Dougherty is currently developing a sequel to Trick ‘r Treat, but he also has an idea for Krampus 2.
Fans have been waiting 14 years for director Michael Dougherty to get around to making a sequel to his Halloween-themed horror collection Trick ‘r Treatbut Dougherty has stayed busy as the years have passed, making the Christmas-themed horror film Krampusguide Godzilla: King of the Monstersand adds to the scriptures for X-Men: Apocalypse, Godzilla vs. Kong, and what is to come Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Recently, there have been indications that a Trick r Treat 2 maybe he is finally moving on. Dougherty has even said that the screenplay was written. But as he pushes that sequel into production, he’s told Collider he has an idea for it Krampus 2 Apart from.
Dougherty told them, “We have an idea for a sequel to that one too. It’s not necessarily about a family as much as it could be about a group of strangers trapped somewhere.“
Dougherty wrote Krampus with Todd Casey and Zach Shields. The film has the following synopsis: When his dysfunctional family fights over the holidays, young Max is frustrated and turns back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of holiday spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a terrifying life of their own, laying siege to the broken family home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to live.

Another Krampus stories told before. In preparation for the film’s release, we also received the graphic novel Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholaswhich told four other stories set in the world of Krampus.
