New Animated Batman Revealed in ‘Merry Little Batman’ Trailer

It’s time to add another animated Dark Knight to the long (and often excellent) history of animated Batmen. An all-new version of DC’s signature superhero is coming to Prime Video, debuting in a holiday-themed special called Happy little Batman. After that, the plan is for these versions of the characters to continue in their own animated TV series.

This new Batman is voiced by Luke Wilson, who is definitely a lot less cheeky, and a lot more relaxed than your average Batman actor. The Batman of the title, however, is his son, Damian Wayne, who in the special series must take over the role of Dark Knight while his dear old father is off saving the world with the League of Justice.

I mean, it looks nice! Older Batman fans aren’t necessarily known for appreciating their Batman-related content, but my kids will probably love this, and that’s just who it is. this series aims. And if you want a darker and more mature Batman cartoon, just be patient for the Batman: Caped Crusader series – which was developed by members of the old one Batman: The Animated Series – also coming to Prime Video in the future.

Here is the official summary of the special:

This Christmas, Damian Wayne wants to be a superhero like his father – the one and only Batman. When Damian is left home alone while Batman takes on Gotham’s worst super villains on Christmas Eve, he stumbles upon a dastardly plot to steal Christmas and jumps on the chance to save the day.

Happy little Batman premieres on Prime Video on December 8.
