Azerbaijan has marched its army through the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. The demonstration comes weeks after Azerbaijan recaptured the fortress, in a light offensive that forced 120,000 ethnic Armenians to flee. The provincial capital of Khankendi, also known as Stepanakert, was left in ruins.

Nagorno-Karabakh had been at the center of a decades-long conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. At the military parade on Wednesday, the president of Azerbaijan warned Armenia against “revival sentiments”, saying “from now on, it is not recommended to joke with us”.
