Rick and Michonne return in teaser for ‘Walking Dead’ Spinoff
Although The walking dead technically over, the Walking dead the universe is somehow busier than ever. (Maybe there’s a zombie metaphor in there somewhere, I’m not sure.) No fewer than three different spinoff shows are on or coming to AMC, including The Walking Dead: Dead Citywith Maggie and Negan, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon featuring, um, Daryl Dixon, and now The Walking Dead: The Livingwhich may be the expected ones.
That’s because it will feature the long-awaited sequel to Andrew Lincoln’s late Rick Grimes. The walking dead during its ninth season, and Danai Gurira’s Michonne, who followed suit in the tenth season. Instead of killing Rick when Lincoln decided to leave The walking dead, his character was wounded and taken by the CRM. Most of the characters believed he had died, but the audience (and Michonne) knew better.
When Gurira left in Season 10, her character went on a journey to find Rick — and now we finally get to support those two guardians on this new show, created by Scott M. Gimple and Danai Gurira. Check out the first teaser below:

Here is the official synopsis for the series:
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents an epic love story about two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart. With unstoppable power. With the ghosts who they are. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, centered on a war against the dead… And finally, a war against the living. Will they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Influencers? Without each other, are they even alive – or will they discover that they too are the walking dead?
In other words, it turns out the real walking dead … was love. Or maybe it was the friends we made along the way? I’m not sure. We’ll have to tune in to find out when The Walking Dead: The Living It is scheduled to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024.
