Even if it’s not in Ridley Scott’s sequel to Gladiator, Russell Crowe can’t give an interview without someone asking him questions about it. During an appearance at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Crowe (via THR) weighed in when asked about Gladiator 2 new.

“They should be f*cking paying me for all the questions I get asked about the f*cking movie I’m not even there,” putting, “In that world, I’m dead, six feet under. And that’s it.” However, he also believes that the film is going to be amazing. “If Ridley has decided to do a second part … he will have very strong reasons … I could not imagine that film to be so amazing.” He even admitted to a “tour of jealousy” over the film because he remembers his childhood days.

All this is not to say that Crowe is not busy himself. The Australian legend has wrapped at least four films, including Kraven the Hunter, The Georgetown Project by Sam Worthington, Sleeping dogs by Karen Gillan, and Land of the Bad with Liam Hemsworth. He has also signed on to play Hermann Göring in the long-running James Vanderbilt Nuremberg film. Göring was the highest-ranking Nazi to be prosecuted at the Nuremberg Trials. After being found guilty and sentenced to death, he committed suicide by ingesting cyanide just hours before the sentence was to be carried out. Brian Cox previously played him in the TV movie version of the trials, and the most famous one Birth at Nuremberg focus on the 1947 Judges’ Trial.
