Fox News host Sean Hannity looks at the mainstream liberal media’s reaction to the death of Tire Nichols on “Hannity.”
SEAN HANNITY: The police beat white people. In fact, far more white people are killed by cops each year than any other race, according to an online group that tracks this data. Three hundred and seventy-four white Americans will die due to police changes in 2022. If that’s out on average, it’s a little more than one a day. I don’t know if the women of The View know the names of the people, the 374 people. Do you think the media crowd devotes entire press cycles to these deaths they even count the number of them people were shot and killed in Chicago more on any particular weekend? Of course not.
So why are these events largely ignored? According to a study from Washington State University. Listen to this. They were reported by the Washington Post in 2016. “Officers are three times more likely to shoot unarmed blacks than unarmed whites.” And check out this study from the National Bureau of Economic Research covered by the New York Times. Also, in 2016, “When it comes to the deadliest form of force, police shootings, the study finds no racial bias.” So based on both academic studies and real data, there is no systemic racism in policing. It doesn’t exist.
Now, of course, there are good cops. And I would say that is the vast majority and there is a small majority of bad cops. What we saw in Memphis was terrible policing by really bad cops, but blaming it on some sort of sleazy, all-out boogeyman isn’t going to solve any problems . at the Memphis Police Department or any other police department across the country. Now, on the left, they don’t seem to care at all.

They are not interested in improving policing. They seem to only care about their own divisive narrative. Maybe these Democrats, maybe these media people, maybe they just lying for real political gain, or perhaps they harbor racist animosity and hatred towards people who happen to be white or Asian or other races. Don’t know. Maybe they just don’t know the truth. Or maybe they are just overwhelmed with emotion. Maybe they just pick and choose. How is the 99.9999% of people who are killed in any form of violence often reported? The truth is always important.
