A new TV spot for what’s to come Shazam! sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods surprised fans by spoiling the appearance of the main DC Universe hero who is set to make a cameo in the film.
The latest teaser for the sequel was caught by fans online and they saw none other than Wonder Woman Gal Gadot appearing in the teasers. In her brief scene, she is seen jokingly telling Shazam to keep saving the world after he gestures for her to summon him.
The announcement surprised many, with many fans lamenting that the scene was ruined for them. Director David F. Sandberg also took to Twitter to acknowledge the announcement, and advised fans looking to tune in to the “new” film not to “be online or watch television with commercials,” which he called “generally very good advice.”
Sandberg also responded to some fans who said the scene made them want to go see the movie more now, noting that if that was true, it’s good, but that he still felt bad for those who didn’t want to know about it. e.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will see the return of Asher Angel and Zachary Levi as they reprise their respective roles as Billy Batson and Shazam. Joining them are returning cast members Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Freddy, Faithe Herman and Meagan Good as Darla, Ian Chen and Ross Bulter as Eugene, Grace Fulton as Mary, Jovan Arman and DJ Cotrona as Pedro, Marta Milans, Cooper Andrews, and Djimon Hounsou.
