Are you familiar with Meltdown May? If not, you are going to be. And also, congratulations, because you live enough of your life in the real world (and not online) to not have gone up against such temptation. The shortest way to explain it is that somehow, for years now, the whole month of may has been marking a time when people are solving on the internet. And not just on the internet, either.

They might accidentally say inappropriate things, double down on it, triple down, and then act like it’s your problem to get upset. They may have been holding it together for so long, but sunlight is the best disinfectant and overall, this is when all hell breaks loose.

In a way, it makes sense. May is when we start to leave our homes again with a rule; we start going on more dates, planning more trips, and just generally being there as a whole. It’s only natural to be a little discombobulated.

But here’s the thing: I’m not going to let that happen to you. Or me. Or any of us. We are all going to be so calm, so quick, so collected, and over there log out. When we see headlines that devastate us, we do something about it, not just shiver. Let’s take a deep breath. There simply won’t be a May Meltdown.

Or, at least, if it is…we’re not the ones to start it.
