Let the right one in, American Gigolo & Three Women has been canceled as Showtime has rebranded to Paramount + With Showtime.

It was revealed last year that Paramount was considering merging Showtime with Paramount+, and now it’s official. Showtime will be integrated into Paramount+ across serial and streaming platforms, rebranding the channel to Paramount+ With Showtime. This move has already led to the cancellation of several series, including The Right One let in, American gigoloand Three women.

The rebranding will be launched later this year, with the decision aimed at bringing Showtime and Paramount+ together in the streaming world. This will only affect the top tier of Paramount+ and the serial network Showtime in the US”This new combined offering demonstrates how we can leverage our entire collection of content to foster deeper connections with consumers and deliver greater value to our distribution partners,“Said CEO Bob Bakish in a staff memo. “This change will also drive stronger alignment across our Paramount+ domestic and international offerings, as Paramount+ international already includes Showtime content. And, very importantly, this integration unlocks operational efficiencies and financial benefits across our wider portfolio.

Showtime and Paramount Media Networks President and CEO Chris McCarthy said, “As part of Paramount+, we can put more resources into building the tracks that have made the SHOWTIME brand famous, as well as turning our hit shows into global franchises. To do this, we remove investment from areas that are underperforming and that are less than 10% of our views. We have already begun discussions with our production partners about what content makes sense moving forward and which shows have licensing potential.“That means we can expect to see more shows being axed or taken off the service.

As for the cancellations, the first season of The Right One let in ended its run last month. Based on the best-selling novel by Ajvide Lindqvist, the series stars Demián Bichir as a father who tries to take care of his daughter after she becomes a vampire. Although this marks the end of the series on Showtime, it is being shopped to other platforms. American gigolo is a remake of the 1980 film today and Jon Bernthal stars as Julian Kaye, who is freed 15 years after being arrested for murder. The third row, Three women, has not yet aired, but production has been completed. Starring Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin, DeWanda Wise, and Gabrielle Creevy, the series follows a group of women on a crash course to turn their lives around. Very similar The Right One let in, Three women also being bought by their agents in hopes of finding a new home.
