Taika Waititi will not return to ‘Thor 5’ directly

If you’ve been following director Taika Waititi, you probably know that he’s been with the Thor franchise for the last two films. You probably know that too Thor: Ragnarok the favorite Marvel movie by many, mainly because of Waititi’s directorial work. That may have changed a bit with Thor: Love and Rain. Although it is far from the worst Marvel movie, many considered it to be a stopgap, especially when people loved it so much. Ragnarok. Critics questioned the writing, pacing, and character of some of the heroes. He was too heavy on CGI, but not in your usual big set piece way. Some scenes looked cheap, a problem with a lot of recent Marvel movies and shows. Waititi himself even commented on the CGI in the film, obviously not very happy with how it turned out.

So what’s next for Waititi? Will he return to direct the fifth Thor film, which would be his third attempt with the franchise. Insider.com recently sat down with Waititi to talk about the possibility of him returning for another one Thor film.

Wondering if Marvel was developing another one Thor, Waititi replied “I wouldn’t know if that’s right. I know I won’t be involved. I am going to focus on those other films that I have signed up for.”
