That joy, for most fans at least, was short-lived, with the extra Melbourne tickets – including the limited $65.90 show tickets – almost sold out immediately.

Meanwhile, additional limited Sydney tickets – which saw fans queuing physically outside the Ticketek office at Penrith Panthers Rugby League Club as well as fighting for tickets online – were sold out in the little over an hour.

Sydney sells out in one hour and 16 minutes

Frontier Touring went to X at 5.16pm AEDT to reveal the limited extra tickets to Swift’s sold out Sydney shows.

“SYDNEY UPDATE πŸ’™ All redemption tickets currently available are sold out,” wrote Frontier Touring.

“Please keep an eye on our social networks for any updates during the journey.”

Tickets went on sale at 4pm AEDT

Melbourne seems to sell out in 35 minutes

By 2.35pm, 35 minutes after the limited Melbourne tickets went on sale, Ticketek had quietly updated the Swift ticket portal to show that the Melbourne allocation had been “exhausted”.

But while this was happening, hopefuls were still stuck in the waiting room unaware that the tickets were already sold out, unless they found the hashtag #Ticketek on X (formerly Twitter) .

“MELBOURNE UPDATE πŸ’™The release tickets currently available are sold out,” wrote Frontier Touring on X.

“Please keep an eye on our social networks for any updates during the journey.”

The odds haven’t been in Swift’s Aussie fans’ favor from the start, with over four million people trying to buy tickets to The Eras Tour when they first went on sale in June 2023.

How to get tickets to Taylor Swift’s Australian shows

Many fans who missed out on tickets during pre-sales, initial general sales and subsequent additional sales have turned to ticket resale websites and online marketplaces in the hope of last-minute seats. get it ahead of Swift’s shows, which start in Melbourne on Friday.

How to get your tickets to Taylor Swift’s Australian shows

For those lucky enough to have come out of the great war Ticketek successful, you’ll soon need those golden tickets to secure your seat in the stadium.

“The most important message is to make sure fans download the Ticketek app and transfer the ticket to their Google or Apple Wallet as soon as possible,” a Ticketek spokesperson urges.

So you’ve bought the tickets, downloaded them to your Google or Apple Wallets, put on your clothes and you’re on your way to the stadium – there are some rules you should know to make sure you are admitted. .

Frontier Touring has announced that although friendship bracelets are allowed at the show, they must be worn on your arms.
