The first impressions of Ridley Scott’s Napoleon have arrived!
After the world premiere in Paris, the first impressions of Ridley Scott’s historical epic Napoleon have appeared.

Ridley Scott has proven himself to be a master of the historical, with many fans eagerly awaiting its release Napoleon with Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby. Recently the film was shown for the first time in the world in Paris, and the first reactions to Napoleon has begun to appear. We will update with more Napoleon reactions as they spread.
The response seems to be mixed, with some loving the film and others finding it heavy outside of the battle sequences. Ridley Scott said that “great” cut the director Napoleon which is almost four and a half hours, which could improve the film for those who find the theatrical cut lacking. Maybe a Kingdom of heaven position on our hand. There is no word on when or when the Napoleon the director’s cut will be released, but Scott has said he hopes Apple will screen it eventually.
Napoleon stars Joaquin Phoenix as the French emperor and military leader and offers “an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, seen through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine. The film captures Napoleon’s famous battles, unrelenting ambition and extraordinary strategic mind as an outstanding military leader and war visionary.” Ridley Scott directed the film from a screenplay by David Scarpa. The film also stars Vanessa Kirby as Empress Josephine, Empress Consort and Napoleon’s first wife.
Even before its release, the film has been the target of those who point out some historical inaccuracies in the trailers, but Ridley Scott had an answer: “Get a life.” Napoleon starting in theaters 22 November before it airs globally on Apple TV+.
