The Jamestown Tennis Association is hosting a Burst the Bubble tournament
December 5 – JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Tennis Association held its annual Burst the Bubble tennis tournament over the weekend of December 1 at the Two Rivers Activity Center.
The event featured 34 players in three different events, men’s singles, women’s singles and mixed doubles. According to a press release, the 34 people is the most the tournament has ever had since it started in 2018. Two Jamestown players were on the way to record a podium finish while Isaac Mimong finished as the consolation champion in the men’s singles bracket and Kai Backen and Sidney Ressler, who is from Minot, finished as consolation champions in the mixed doubles bracket.
Mimong defeated Jamestown native Luke LeFevre 3-6, 6-3 (10-5) in the consolation match. Aided by Ressler they defeated Ryder and Medora Pringle 6-3, 6-3 in their consolation championship match.
