Another batch of behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the highly anticipated HBO Max The Batman espionage The Penguin has surfaced online (via Just Jared), showing our first look at Cristin Milioti’s portrait of Carmine Falcone’s daughter, Sofia Falcone. In new The Penguin set photos, Sofia Milioti can be seen wearing a white dress. In addition, Colin Farrell was seen again in full Penguin look while showing off the DC villain’s latest car.
Set in the world of the 2022s The Batman, the HBO Max series will focus on the history of Oswald Cobblepot and show his rise to power in Gotham’s underworld rather than portraying him as the established king. The character has a rich history of live-action appearances, as Danny DeVito played Penguin in the famous Batman is back while Robin Lord Taylor was representing him there Gotham.
Joining Farrell yes Encanto star Rhenzy Feliz, Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Broad), Deirdre O’Connell (Outdoor area), and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption). It is also rumored that Robert Pattinson could appear as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The limited drama will be based on the DC characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. It is being written by Lauren LeFranc, who is also a showrunner. The first two episodes will be directed by Craig Zobel.
