An Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has ruled in favor of Segun Shonmi, the factional governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State in a case between PDP, PDP and two others.

According to the lawyers, the judgment in the suit Showunmi filed against the party, Ladi Adebutu and co, means that he will remain the candidate of the main opposition party in Ogun State unless otherwise ruled.

The appellant, Shounmi, had complained to the lower court that the Ogun State executive of the party acted biased when it allegedly procured nomination and interest forms for Adebutu, the third respondent, without doing the same for other candidates who legally procured the forms. , including himself.
