Travis Kelce Congratulates Taylor Swift on an Outstanding Rookie Season
In every successful sports season, the appearance of bandwagon fans is inevitable. It’s just fun to cheer for a winning team, there’s no shame in that. Taylor Swift, although she’s new to die-hard NFL fandom this year, it can’t be called that: she’s involved with the Kansas City Chiefs and went to games whether they were winning or losing , even trying to make the temperature absolutely freezing. That might not hurt his girlfriend, Travis Kelceis the team’s defining tight end.
The commitment to the Chiefs Kingdom has paid off, and the team is now headed to the Super Bowl on February 11, a slot that was completed on Sunday when the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens on the road. They will head to Las Vegas next month to play against the San Francisco 49ers in their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.
On this week’s episode of New heightsthe podcast Travis co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the beaming brothers once again got the victory and the celebration. Swift, Jason Kelce, and other family members lined the field to congratulate Travis and his teammates immediately after the game, with Swift sweeping Travis up for a big kiss, exchanging declarations of love to each other.
About winning the deciding game on the road, Travis told his brother on the podcast, “It feels a little bit sweeter, man. This road to where we are now has been more of a challenge, and that means you have to overcome more, so it means a little more. It meant a lot, man.”
While he didn’t specifically name Swift as his MVP (most valuable paramour), Travis did have a few words for her, laughing when Jason showed a photo of the Chiefs head coach Andrew Reid and Swift celebrating with each other above the crowd as Reid stood on the stage to accept the team trophy.
“Going to the Super Bowl, baby!” Travis said of the sweet moment. “Of course we’ve already talked about how they’ve known each other since the Philly days, Scott Swift, shout out to Big Scott, he and Andy are good friends. I didn’t get to see it because I was up on the stage screaming ‘fight for your right,’ it was a cool time. “
Later in the episode, while reading a tweet mocking Swift heading to the Super Bowl “in her rookie year,” Travis said, “Shout out to Tay, thanks for her join the team. “
It is not yet known whether Swift will actually attend the Super Bowl in person, as she embarks on the international leg of her Eras Tour. She plans to play a concert in Tokyo, and it seems physically possible for her to go to Vegas for kickoff if she leaves right after the show, but only time will tell will the chief’s most distinguished follower make the journey to the kingdom.
