True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto rewrites Marvel movie
True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto has boarded Marvel’s Blade movie with Mahershala Ali to rewrite the script.

From True Detective into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. THR has reported that Nic Pizzolatto, the creator of the HBO crime anthology series, is now working on Marvel’s blade film.
Nic Pizzolatto has worked with her before blade Mahershala Ali star on the third season of True Detective, so this is a sign of a reunion for the couple. Sources told THR that Pizzolatto had been working from an existing script by Michael Starrbury (When they see us) for several weeks now. Ali’s work on the third season True Detective earned an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
With production on blade scheduled to begin late next month in Atlanta, Marvel will have to scramble to get the script as good as they can, especially if a WGA strike occurs. Yann Demange (Rick White Boy) is set to lead blade for Marvel. Apart from Mahershala Ali, blade it will also star Delroy Lindo and Mia Goth.
The character Blade was originally created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan for The tomb of Dracula #10 in 1973. Blade is a half-mortal, half-mortal who hunts vampires to avenge his mother, who was killed by a vampire while giving birth to him. Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) first connected to direct bladebut he ended up retiring last year, leaving Marvel to halt pre-production while they looked for a replacement.
blade this is not the only big project Nic Pizzolatto has in the works. It was reported earlier this week that he would write and the chief executive produce a series of conversions of The Seven People for Amazon Studios. The official description of the rebooted series reads: “In the tradition of the great arts from the golden age of Westerns, an outlaw and his gang must unite a diverse band of indomitable fighters to protect a settlement of immigrant residents in an open war against cattle barons in central Texas, tells a broad. a saga of adventure, action, and romance.” Pizzolatto already has experience with The Seven Peoplewhile co-writing the 2016 big screen remake of Antione Fuqua.
