After picking up scholarship offers from 39 programs, elite 2024 running back Taylor Tatum is deciding between USC and Oklahoma. He will announce his commitment in a week and a half.

Recruitment which has now come down to the Oklahoma Sooners and the USC Trojans will be decided on July 21st at 11am Central Time, 9am Pacific. Tatum – a product of Longview, Texas, – will announce via Longview Gameday on YouTube and Facebook.

Tatum is listed as over 5-10, checking in at 205 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Tatum is the No. 1 running back, Lone Star State’s No. 9 recruit, and pre- No. 33 prospect nationally in the Class of 2024.

There is no doubt that earlier visits to Los Angeles and Norman have shaped Tatum’s decision. USC’s attractive offer, with an exciting game plan from coach Lincoln Riley and a strong vision for growing the Tatum brand, was attractive at first. Tatum praised the USC experience, citing the opportunities to accomplish much under Coach Riley’s tutelage.

However, the Oklahoma Sooners have been making a big splash on the recruiting trail lately with five-star tight end Davon Mitchell as well as the addition of four-stars Zion Kearney and Michael Hawkins.

If you’ve been reading our friends over at Sooners Wire, they’ve noticed that Tatum has picked up a crystal ball prediction for Oklahoma in the past few days.
