Usher introduces the news with a clever nod to his 2004 single “Confessions, Pt. II”

On Sunday, the 44-year-old shared an Instagram post with Apple Music. The post included a video of the opening scene of Usher’s 2004 music video, “Confessions, Pt. II.” However, instead of the singer receiving a phone call from a pregnant woman, the singer received a phone call from Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian tells Usher that she “finally got the answer to those rumors,” and that the 44-year-old is “doing the Super Bowl.”

“You’re playing the Apple Music halftime show in Vegas,” Kardashian told the singer, adding, “You’re doing the Super Bowl.

As the conversation continued, Kardashian said that Usher had done a great job with his Las Vegas residency. However, this performance “must be different.”

The singer tells how he learned the news

That same day, Apple Music released Usher’s exclusive interview with Zane Lowe. During the interview, Usher shared his happiness and revealed that he feels relieved that the news is now public.

“I mean, it’s been a lot of secrets to keep from my own kids,” he explained. “It was a very intimate experience of people who knew it and they were excited about the whole thing … because it was the most magnificent stage to ever play on.”

During the conversation, Usher revealed that he received the news from the rapper Jay-Z, the founder of Roc Nation. According to the NFL’s official website, the sports organization has a long-standing partnership with Roc Nation “as the league’s official Live Music Entertainment strategies.”

This allows Roc Nation to “lead and advise on artist selection for NFL marquee concerts, including the Super Bowl. ” In addition, the partnership enables Roc Nation to “help produce and promote new music as well as cultural and cause-oriented initiatives.”

During the interview, Usher detailed the phone call he received from Jay-Z.
