American rapper Lil Pump has been on a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun of late, however, a particular part of his trip is garnering a lot of attention and has turned into a viral sensation on the web. Lil Pump is roasting TikTok in reaction to being unrecognized in Japan
Rapper Lil Pump has become the butt of internet jokes after a video surfaced of groups indiscriminately walking behind him in Japan. Footage of the 22-year-old rapper, who was born Gazzy Garcia and rose to fame in 2017 with a multi-platinum single titled Gucci Gang, went viral on social media platforms on Monday. The allegedly viral clip has garnered over 2 million views on TikTok, 7 million views on Twitter and numerous responses on Reddit’s Sad Cringe forum.
In the clip, Lil Pump stands on a jam-packed street and looks confused because no one stopped for a photo or autograph. The rapper stared around curiously, then finally surrendered and leaned into the uninterested bystanders. The footage caused a flurry of excitement on the web as viewers criticized the cast’s confused response. I love it when celebrities don’t get it and you can see it hurts their guts, said one user on TikTok. Another Twitter user pulled rapper Lil Pump saying he could stay close to home with a Lil Pump t-shirt and I don’t know who he was.

The rapper has previously caused some controversy online after endorsing Donald Trump for president in 2020, in any case, the pre-political decision showed up at a rally in which the former president coincidentally introduced him as ‘Little Pimp’. Undeterred by the slip-up, he urged the crowd to decide for Donald Trump and not for ‘Sleepy Joe’ (Biden). Donald Trump’s endorsement has sparked outrage from various celebrities, including supermodel Bella Hadid, who openly called Lil Pump ‘irresponsible’ and a ‘loser’.
